How 5 Minutes Can Change Your Life Today
The turning point for all people who have a goal to improve themselves whether in fitness or any category, is that moment when someone is talking to themselves either positively or negatively. What I'm talking about in terms of weight loss and fitness is that moment when you're deciding whether or not to follow through and go workout. its the moment to moment decisions that add up to results.
When I first started my own fitness program I was totally clueless. My main goal was to learn how to exercise without getting hurt. My trainer said to do the workout she designed for me three times each week and that's what I did. Yes, there were times when I was sore, tired, unmotivated and even feeling under the weather, but I did it anyway. And I was driving nearly forty miles round trip to the gym.
With that being said, the crux of the matter for people who seriously lack motivation is the rule of five minutes. If you really are not feeling up to working out, simply go do five minutes of workout. If you really shouldn't be working out that day your energy will decrease within that five minutes. If it was actually an unconscious motive to get out of or escape your workout your energy will increase because you're doing your being a favor.
For me, combined with a deep desire to learn to exercise correctly was the motivation of the image I held in my mind of how I might look down the road, including higher self esteem and confidence and feeling at home in my body.
