Preventing Colds & Flu




The quickie: You can decrease the number and frequency of colds and flu by 50%  by taking the BNBBs consistently.


The complete answer: If you never get sick you can certainly improve the way you feel, have more energy than you need and build a health savings account...enhance your resistance to unexpected illness. 


The  rules for staying healthy are different  for people who have exceptional nutritional-hygiene. In other words, I mean that in my 30 or so years of personal experiences with nutrition and 20 or so years of professional experiences my observations have shown me that people who intentionally de-prioritize their health by ignoring these basic BNBBs concepts have to take greater precaution to avoid getting sick and are at greater risk for experiencing de-generative dis-ease processes. They also remain sick longer than those who apply the BNBBs in their lives.


Many of the processes which make the most difference in terms of daily health occur unnoticed at the cellular level. But the natural laws related to whether the immune system, skin and respiratory systems are actually being maintained well enough to defend the body remain consistent: 


In India, Ana Maya Kosha literally refers to the physical body manifesting from the quality (or lack thereof) the food we eat...the body that comes from food.



Now, if all the food available to us had the same high quality nutrition density ingredients we need in every serving and portion regardless of how the raw materials were grown, harvested, shipped, handled, prepared  and so on from the planting of the seeds to preparation of meals that would be one thing.

Consistent nutrition levels would make it easy to take care of our health without much conscious thought. And believe it or not, a lot of people both professional and lay people alike still believe that all foods contain a standardized amount of nutrition...at least they want to believe that. I guess it gives some level of comfort imagining all foods of similar type have the same amount of nutrition.

But, unfortunately, the science shows this not to be the case. People who believe this idea that all food has the same amount of nutrition also seem to get sick often. They say they have that "thing" that's going around and they catch everything that comes along as though that is normal...it is common, but normal?


I've sometimes wondered if they don't take care of themselves so they can get time off from work.

Although the people who do keep showing up for work, but get sick often or have a condition that seems to give them chronic trouble, consider it dumb-luck, bad luck or hereditary. 


The fact that even hereditary latent potentials are influenced by the environmental factors (like nutrition) seem to escape them...but, we do know that people who don't have enough BNBBs in their brain are challenged in taking in the information which could help them be healthier and feel better...the malnourished brain can't seem to process information about nutrition! Being sick is a way to fit in and be like everyone else.


If we don't put gas in the tank, we'll run out of fuel before we get where we're going. If we don't put oil in the engine and change the oil the engine wears out faster. We don't expect our dentist to brush our teeth for us and we don't expect our mechanic to put gas in our tank...why would you expect your doctor to put nutrition in your body? If you don't take the trash out your house will smell. I think you get the idea. 


The systems of the body (immune, respiratory, skin, digestive, etc.), all require consistently the BNBBs on a daily basis (in quality form) in order for the body to respond to exposure to bugs and viruses...not as treatment for symptoms but rather to build up a sort of savings account for the immune system to rely on when a potential bug invades the body. These nutrients have to be stored up before the exposure happens to respond physiologically where you don't even feel any symptoms. 


Prevention!


When we think about all these immune system soldiers and all the nutrients they need when going to battle they need to have their supplies ahead of time...they have to have their reserves built up before the battle begins. If they have to wait  to get certain supplies they may not make it through their tour of duty and the bug has the advantage. If you consider that hereditary conditions are merely potentials that can happen if the body doesn't have enough nutritional supplies (epigenics) on board, it might make more sense. 


The immune system is made up of several different types of soldiers and they replicate themselves successfully as a result of having adequate BNBBs on board when nature decides they need to do so...so you have to supply the BNBBs in advance.


When you put the BNBBs in your body everyday, each successive generation of immunity soldiers grows proportionately healthier and more properly responsive to invaders.


This process works in reverse as well. The longer you go consistently without supplemental nutritional building blocks the more likely you'll be to experience an opposingly reflected, successive generations of immune soldiers whom get weaker, less responsive and less effective at preventing bugs. Even worse,  the improperly responsive immune system may fail to recognize its own body systems where it begins to over react to friendly tissue in the form of autoimmune responses (arthritis, lupus, Chrohn's, etc.). 


In other words, the undernourished immune system will start to react negatively to its own body, whereby a cascade of events leads to serious, mysterious inflammation throughout the body or in one system, e.g. digestive system, skeletal, etc. In essence, the malnourished immune system behaves confused, unfocused  manner like a chicken running around with its head cut off, seemingly unable to recognize which cells are friendly and which ones are invaders.

The body that doesn't get the BNBBs consistently, is primed for getting sick. Combine this with a medical system that doesn't recognize malnutrition and you have "mystery illnesses" that don't respond well to conventional treatments. 


When the immune system gets the BNBBs on a daily basis, the immune system soldiers  get smart...they learn to recognize and mark invaders they have encountered and dealt with previously, so they are effectively fueled and prepared to defend the body. Whereas the immune system soldiers that haven't been fueled with the BNBBs seem to recognize an invader more slowly, if at all, and act sluggishly and less thoroughly, allowing seemingly minor bugs to go on for weeks.

The body that gets the BNBBs everyday is effectively being prepared to respond in a healthy manner and to stay that way...it can seem remarkable. 


The properly fueled immune system soldiers gain acquired immunity in that they get smarter and stronger as time goes on, marking familiar bugs they have encountered in order to deal with them with relative speed and efficiency. The undernourished  immune system seems to lack acquired immunity seeming to behave as if each battle is a new one to be relearned all over again...effectively allowing new bugs to last longer.


Getting the BNBBs in your cells everyday is great assurance that you will have the greatest outcome for whatever comes along, whether expected or not. Studies have shown that even genetic predisposition to ailments can be diminished and avoided simply by getting the BNBBs in your body everyday and that people who have tried to do it with whole food alone fall short, reflected in lower immunity and experiences of hereditary conditions.



Getting the BNBBs in your body is like having really good renter's insurance or a home owner's policy...you want to have it in place before you need the benefits. So, plan ahead by thinking prevention. That way you'll be building up your immune system to respond more appropriately and you won't have to get every bug that comes along. 


Instead of waiting for a fire to get smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, give your body the advantage  it needs which will likely help the body defend against opportunistic  dis-eases. All the time we hear about people who hadn't installed smoke detectors or hadn't kept the batteries from running low.


The Landmark Study / UC Berkeley (an 11 year, peer-reviewed study, published in 2007; Nutrition Journal) showed not only does the type of dietary supplements consumed make a difference, it also showed that some popular brands work as good as using no supplements at all (synthetic supplements).
