Special Report #44
Part of the
“I see you to succeeding"
series.
Sick All The Time?
Sick often?
Mystery illness?
Why am I sick all the time?
Why do my kids get sick so often?
Is health based on good or bad luck?
Keep getting the same bug over and over?
The point of this blurb is that we don't have to suffer and be as uncomfortable as we think we have to be. "Nature" has her ways and its sort of like, if we don't take care of ourselves then Nature begins to "take us out".
If you take time to notice the patterns of Nature, she goes through cycles and seasons of building up and breaking down. In some ways, it could be looked at as though we have the opportunity to use the resources around us to build ourselves up, but if we ignore these fundamentals or behave as if getting enough nutrition to be healthy is "too much trouble", then Nature continues with the breaking-down process I refer to as de-generative dis-ease.
As you recall, I break those two words up and add hyphens to remind us that they are "processes", not nouns that can't be changed or influenced (by ourselves). With the proper application of applied nutrition (wholefoods + functional-foods + food supplements), you can improve your health so that you feel better and better as time goes on.
If you have family members or children who get sick often, the same rules apply. Whole foods have to be the foundation, but food doesn't provide enough nutrition density, consistently enough to benefit from the building up process Nature offers us.
Its been said that if you are resistant to taking some supplements that build you up a little each day, you'll likely be taking prescription medication that cover up the symptoms of not taking supplements....while your body (or your child's body) continues to break down from insufficient nutrition.
Over the last 30 years I've learned that [eating healthy whole foods reduce the amount of toxins] in our body, but [the amount of nutrition in whole food tends to be so inconsistent] that "eating balanced" doesn't provide enough nutrition to prevent the body from breaking down more and more over time.
Supplementation, on the other hand, with easily absorbed supplements [fills in the nutritional gaps] the body requires to build itself up, day-in and day-out. (People are generally not consciously aware of they are getting enough to feed their cells)...its largely an unconscious process like the blood pressure or heart beat...but, the positive side benefits are very clear once they start kicking in, because they are experiential and verifiable by blood chemistry lab panels you physician does for you.
How the breaking down process (catabolism) happens is that we each have genetic strengths and potential weaknesses (hereditary conditions), but those things that run in the family or only "latent potential"...they don't have to come true. But, when we withhold or ignore the fundamentals of nutrition those "potentials" often emerge and are labeled as hereditary conditions.
Getting colds, flu and bugs are also examples of a body which is struggling to make do especially for people who eat fairly clean whole foods but still get sick often.
Chronic conditions for any body system is also Nature's way of telling us our "nutritional hygiene" is lacking. For example, the respiratory system: asthma, allergies, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.
For the digestive system: digestive problems, indigestion, heart burn, pain, cramps, diverticulitis, constipation, inflammation, bowel problems, etc.
The immune system: colds, flu, bugs, sinus infections, ear infections, cough, excess mucous, sore throats, allergies, etc.
The list goes on as there are many systems of the body. How the seeming mystery dis-eases show up varies from person to person (for me, it was digestive problems, heart burn, indigestion, trouble with certain foods, chocolate made my nose bleed, tomatoes made me itch for days, one cold bug after another, sensitivity to cold weather, hay fever, etc., etc.), but there are enough commonalities for the everyday mom and dad to recognize the body needs a little extra help.
Depending how we were raised and how much resources were available and how attentive our parents are to noticing patterns, how much extra nutritional help the child gets really comes down to awareness on the parents part.
For the most part, how often the child s sick is not based on "bad luck" unless you have a parent who is so malnourished they can't take in information about how crucial nutrition is to build a healthy body, especially the immune system itself. Its common for parent to say, "Oh, we eat pretty good", but eating pretty good and being sick often don't match up. Its just that we're too close to the forest to see the trees.
Nature gives us "signs" early on if the nutrition level of the body & mind isn't enough. The easiest sign is if one gets more than one cold or sickness a year. The healthy immune system is resistant to whatever bug is "going around" right now. The healthy, fully functioning immune system notices when a bug enters the body and calls on the immune system soldiers to mark the bug and attack it. Whereas a worn down, malnourished immune system might notice the invader but lacks the ability to mark it and kill it off and ultimately become a stronger immune system (acquired immunity).
A next level of healthy response by the immune system is how long a bug lasts. If a bug goes on and on for a week or weeks, that's clear that the immune system is inadequately nourished. The next level is if you get a bug, recover somewhat from it and then get another bug within a short time.
The next level is when genetic potentials begin whining for attention: digestive system, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, muscular system, skeletal system, etc. (possibly multiple systems at once). Ultimately, the person who doesn't pay attention to the early warning signs Nature provides, more and more system of the body get affected until its difficult for even physicians to sort it out.
At this point, the body is far into the breaking down process, regardless of your age or the age of your child. Until adequate, high enough quality nutrition is put into the body, the breaking down process will only get worse.
Nature prioritizes where the nutrition resources you consume will get distributed first. For me, I felt better within a few days, then my digestion improved, then the allergies started going away, the lean mass started improving and so on and so on. .
Its this simple, put the correct supplements in your body (consistently) and then let Nature take over. That's how you find out how good you can actually feel. Much of the time, the health problems that people have experienced for years and decades begin to resolve themselves little by little. When optimal nutrition is provided daily, it takes about one year to replace all the cells of the body.
The point is not to attempt to "chase" symptoms through what I call The Black-Forest of Symptoms (medical model of nutrition). The point is to put small amount of a wide array of nutrients (50-80 nutrients) into your body (or your child's body) [the nutrients we only get if we willfully & consciously put them in] on a daily basis and then let nature take over.
Your only job is to make sure you have supplements that are good enough to nourish the cells of the body because if they aren't good enough, you won't see or feel any improvements in you or your child.
After three decades of experimentation and application, I've come to know [good from poor] quality supplements. That's one of my expertise. If you want help with your own family's health or you are just curious if nutrition might help you improve your health or at the very least help you all feel better, feel free to ask. That's what I do best. I often hear clients say that what I told them wasn't what they wanted or expected to hear, but for the ones who take what I say and run with it, they usually say, "You won't believe what happened".
Ask me for help. I guarantee you'll feel better.
Because I travel between Seattle, Hawaii & Montana so much, I offer phone appointments and unconditional follow up & support for people who apply what I teach them. So, you don't even have to leave your home to benefit from my expertise.
I look forward to hearing about your successes.
