Special Report #40
Part of the
“I see you to succeeding"
series
Sexy is as sexy does.
Nothing feels better than "feeling good in your skin".
What this means is that when we aren't at our best...when we rely on SADCRAP for temporary emotional satisfaction and we "pass" on opportunities to exercise, we have to "disassociate" (live an emotional & psychological distance from ourselves), in order to tolerate and continue being fat & unhealthy.
Other real life examples of being "disassociated" would be that feeling of sugar, nicotine, caffeine, alcohol and other recreational substances that enable the effect of "checking out" from our mental, emotional experience.
Prescription drugs create the same effect in regards to pain: the pain is still there we just aren't aware of it because of substances we chose to consume.
In regards to being fat and unhealthy, it's the affects of sugar, salt, SADCRAP and nutritionally deficient food that enables a person to mentally and emotionally "check out" from being so fat and unhealthy. (Being "associated" or "checked-in" and being fat and unhealthy are not compatible at the same time.) It just doesn't happen. You choose one or the other. So if you apply the nutrition principles I teach you'll become associated to your body and become highly motivated simply out of not feeling good being so unhealthy and fat. That's called motivation.
One of the Catch-22s, so to speak is that the more SADCRAP we consume, the more awful we feel and when the temporary effects of it wear off, we feel the hangover and in the absence of the BNBBs & exercise have to consume more SADCRAP to relieve the discomfort of the withdrawl symptoms...the SADCRAP hangover...a chemical dependence.
A reason trainers are such passionate evangelists for exercise and nutrition is because they are so associated to their body (they feel good in their skin). They feel comfortable and associated in their body... they are present...they want others to experience that same feeling!
Trainers know that the client who sticks with a good exercise and nutrition program for three months (in my training model that's 36 workouts+ whole food & Shaklee supplements), it will improve how the client feels in their body so much that they have the highest chance of "seeing the light at the end of tunnel", feeling confident they can "continue it" and develop enough "motivation from within" that momentum becomes their motivation and their life takes on more meaning...they feel good from the inside out, rather than seeking substances to make them feel good from the outside-in. I've seen it over and over and over again. There's no mistaking it.
When people give goal-oriented exercise and nutrition a chance, a part of them they never thought possible begins to surface. I'm talking about the part of the self which "feels good on the inside" regardless of what is going on on the outside or how people are acting / treating them on the outside.
People tend to feel sexier when they feel good on the inside and the sexier they feel the more they are drawn to and motivated to do more exercise and nutrition that leads to feeling better from the inside-out...cumulative effects.
Deepak Chopra (author of more than 40 books) describes this feeling as "self-referral". Instead of seeking validation and approval from others, you feel so good about yourself from the inside-out that things and people who used to pull you down and seem to prevent you from moving forward have less and less, if any, affect on you anymore. You begin to feel like the world is your oyster. Trainers who have done their own work know this and that's why they can consistently encourage their clients to just focus on today.
If a trainer hasn't done their work and experienced the benefits they wouldn't be able to lead their clients to the light at the end of the tunnel. You have to have done it to teach it.
How long does it take to start noticing benefits?
Honestly, it depends on the quality of the exercise & nutrition program you're engaged in. I've known people who follow a program for years and don't experience any difference in the way they look or feel, yet say they feel better than ever in the first week of training with me.
For me, I started experimenting with nutrition at age 12, so by the time I started training other people I had 8-10 years understanding and personal experience with what is hype, theory and what actually works. Today it's been more than 30 years of personal experience? Sheesh!
Many trainers have no formal training or have taken a three day [or less] certification course before accepting clients. I consider one of my greatest accomplishments working through all the misinformation and hype to find what definitely works with every motivated client...clinically measurable results.
That's part of the reason my clients begin seeing and feeling a difference in about three days of beginning (efficiency) (I'm talking about greater strength, energy, improved mental clarity, and noticeable muscle definition).
Newer trainers simply don't know which information is most critical to themselves let alone their clients fast success because they have done enough work in the field with actual clients to find out what definitely works and what is merely marketing hype pseudoscience. I digress...
I don't think anyone can disagree that there's anything sexier than a person who feels so good in their body that their natural self esteem surfaces and the outside world that seemed to have the power to manipulate their emotions from moment to moment seems to fade away and become irrelevant. People who feel good in their skin have a vibrant presence about then that can be hard to put words to.
The people who have their nutrition and exercise dialed in begin feeling relaxed, less anxious worried and depressed relatively quickly. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people's income make a significant jump with a month of dialing in their nutrition. When the brain optimally nutritionally fueled opportunities seem to magically appear...opportunities that were around them all along!
As a person's fitness and health improves so does their ego take a back seat to the things in life which used to cause an unproductive reaction mode.
They become productive and less reactive. The funny thing is that people who (when giving up SADCRAP) feel like they are missing out on life, feel unpopular and feel like they are missing something begin feeling like they are full of life, popular, liked and in control even though they aren't any more in control than they were living the fat unhealthy lifestyle... It's just that life is set up to respond to you more when your brain is running on all cylinders and adequate nutrition density is how you get the to do this. The better they feel from the inside the more they attract circumstances which amplify and validate that good feeling on the inside.
Effort, lack of motivation, depression, trouble getting going and things like this are all affects of malnutrition. When we talk about healthy brain chemistry, adequate nutrition is the foundation of healthy brain chemistry! The better nourished your brain, the less energy is required to get what you want to happen!
The feeling of "hard work" vs smart work is essentially an affect of being consistently malnourished. BUT, one of the Catch-22s is that the more malnourished a person the more argumentative and adamant that they don't want to "do nutrition" they will be (you can't save everyone and those who don't take charge of their health are leaving it to nature to take them back to the Earth).
Ever met people who argue the reason they are depressed is due to brain chemistry, yet refuse to put the nutrition in their body which builds healthy brain chemistry???
So, when you see healthy, sexy people who seem to have it going, it often means they do 3-4 hours of exercise per week and place special emphasis on getting enough whole foods, functional-foods and Shaklee supplements in their routine to make up for gaps in their daily eating.
Moderate exercise and sensible supplementation lead to feeling good which leads to wanting to do more things that feel good and the cycle repeats itself. Being fit for the beach vacation, attracting money, attracting love and positive people and relationships is effortless when you feel good.
"Sexy is as sexy does."
"Do it now, do it consistently!"
I see you succeeding.
