To lead another your energy has to be higher than theirs 

In order to help a group, society, organization, etc., your mind and energy must be greater / higher than those you intend to help (you can't solve a problem with the same information and energy which created / allowed the problem to exist in the first place). It's common, when trying to help someone to get down to their level of existence and if you're around them too much you may begin to think like them which assures you won't be able to help them. Helping requires seeing and existing above the problem state thereby leading them to a different reality in the same world. In the process you'll hear all the reasons why it can't be done, why you don't understand their situation and be manipulated to accept status quo [comfort zone] (You can't give what you don't have yourself.) To help another improve their condition and standards, you must maintain clarity above their situation.The limiting factor in the ability to help someone is whether they want more, have vision and are motivated enough to step away from what they have (familiarity) in faith of something more (goals). Just because someone says they want a better circumstance doesn't mean they are ready. Often, people say they want more to attract more people to the existence they don't want (perfecting the neurosis) (co-dependency). The context (where it takes place) is irrelevant.
